American Single Malt Whisky Release 38
Release 38 was created by combining six casks of whiskey distilled from Baronesse Barley with two casks of whiskey distilled from Copperworks' standard Pale Malt recipe. They then added 5% of the whiskey that was matured in a Manzanilla Sherry cask. This is the first time they have used whiskey matured in a Manzanilla Sherry cask in one of their whiskeys. All nine casks used in this release were aged for a minimum of 39 months.
Nose: Aromas of rum raisin ice cream and pear balsamic.
Palate: Fig conserves and baked pears.
Finish: Hazelnuts, fruit leather, and dark cherry candy.
