American Single Malt Double Peated Cask Release 36

This release started with Copperworks Washington Peated Single Malt Whiskey, which was made from locally grown barley malted with peat from a bog in Washington State. That whiskey had matured for 45 months in new American Oak and we finished it for an additional seven months in a cask that previously held Ardbeg whisky.

TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Driftwood campfire, leather, and creosote dominate the aromas.


Palate: A sweet, Demerara sugar entry leads to tastes of candied orange peel and seaweed.


Finish: Minty, ashy, earthy, and briny, while still sweet and silky.
